Sometimes a little comedy relief is needed when the economy is in the tank and the government keeps dumping taxpayer’s money into the “Money Hole” out in the desert with the bailouts.

I wonder if the “Money Hole” is next to the “Liberty Hole” where they dump the shredded pieces of the constitution, bill of rights, along with the rest of our freedoms?

This BBC Documentary “Inside South Ossetia” aired on BBC World News November 2008.

BBC takes a look at the destruction and devastation that South Ossetia endured during the attack from Georgia in August 2008 and the response from Russia.

In part 1 below, you feel the pain of a mother who lost her 21 year old son. She had to close his opened eyes after he bled to death from being hit in the neck by shrapnel from an artillery shell.

Who fired the first shot?

BBC goes on to show us that both sides blame each other. Georgia submits a tape that they lost and couldn’t find for a month as evidence Russia invaded Georgia first, but the evidence clearly shows Georgia is responsible for starting this conflict on August 7, 2008 when they attacked South Ossetia.

Part 2:

BBC reports that in retaliation for attacking South Ossetia, South Ossetians burned down ethnic Georgians homes and forced them out of South Ossetia.

Initial estimates of South Ossetia civilian deaths were estimated at 1500-2000. BBC reports them at around 150-350 – still a tragedy and a war crime.

Part 3:

A former official from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) has accused it of failing to warn about the Georgia conflict. Click here to watch the video of the BBC report.

Meanwhile, ethnic Ossetians are leaving Georgia in search of somewhere to live in South Ossetia. Refugees claim they’re being forced out of their homes and villages in Georgia, where most of them have spent all their lives.

Also, the TimesOnline reports that evidence suggests that Georgia started the Georgia-Russia conflict…

Two former British military officers are expected to give crucial evidence against Georgia when an international inquiry is convened to establish who started the country’s bloody five-day war with Russia in August.

Ryan Grist, a former British Army captain, and Stephen Young, a former RAF wing commander, are said to have concluded that, before the Russian bombardment began, Georgian rockets and artillery were hitting civilian areas in the breakaway region of South Ossetia every 15 or 20 seconds.

Their accounts seem likely to undermine the American-backed claims of President Mikhail Saakashvili of Georgia that his little country was the innocent victim of Russian aggression and acted solely in self-defense…

As predicted, today the House of Representatives have passed the $700 Billion scam bailout they rejected Monday, with $150 Billion in pork barrel spending earmarks thrown in to “sweeten” the bill for those previously opposed. This bill started out at 3 pages and is now 450+ pages. Some of those earmarks are for rum makers, wooden arrows, Hollywood, race tracks and pages and pages more. If this bill was so important, why would earmarks be needed? Americans have been robbed and I think Dennis Kucinich knows what should happen to the criminals.

Those that pushed this bill used fear and created a panic atmosphere that something needed to be done as soon as possible because the situation was dire.

Listen to what Rep. Brad Sherman had to say:

“The only way they can pass this bill, is by creating and sustaining a panic atmosphere…Many of us were told that if we voted against this bill, the sky would fall, the market would drop 2-3,000 points…and there would be martial law…That’s what I call fear mongering,” said Sherman.

Now don’t look now, but all of a sudden just after the bailout passes, Arnold “The Governator” comes forward to say California needs $7 billion…I can see the line forming already!

The original $700 billion dollar bailout bill was a mere 3 pages when it was first put together. We saw the House of Representatives defeat the bailout bill on Monday. Last night the Senate passed a new bailout bill which has swelled to 450+ pages, with tons of earmarks. Barack Obama voted FOR the bill as did Mr.Anti-earmarks John McCain. The bill is now approximately worth about $850 Billion.

The bill is being planned to go before the House of Representatives once again for a vote on Friday, and the way Washington works it seems the pork barrel earmarks added may just be enough to push this down the throats of American taxpayers after the mega-dose of fear that has been thrown at them.
