FBI Whistleblower Sibel Edmonds finally got to speak this depostition from August 2009, on the record and under oath, after previously being gagged by the Bush Administration. Edmonds was a linguistics specialist in the FBI counterintelligence department following 9/11.

In the deposition, Edmonds discusses allegations of blackmail, bribery, espionage, and infilitration of the U.S. government by current and former U.S. Congressmembers, high-ranking State and Defense Dept. officials, and agents of the Turkish government.

Barack Obama inherited the same powers that allow him to detained anyone indefinitely without trial, he has failed in his promise of more transparency, Gitmo isn’t going anywhere, Iraq and Afghanistan Wars aren’t going to end anytime soon, he supported FISA, and on and on it goes.

It is refreshing to see someone like Naomi Wolf, who is usually regarded as being on the left, stand up for what is right and call out Barack Obama.

Spanish judge Baltasar Garzon has asked prosecutors to review a complaint by human rights lawyers that 6 former Bush Administration officials, including former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, former undersecretary of defense for policy Douglas Feith, former Vice President Dick Cheney’s chief of staff David Addington, Justice Department officials John Yoo and Jay S. Bybee, and Pentagon lawyer William Haynes, provided legal cover for torture at Guantanamo Bay.

CNN The Situation Room’s Wolf Blitzer interviews Seymour Hersh who brings up Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), which is basically an executive assassination squad that reported directly to Dick Cheney during the Bush/Cheney administration. Hersh says the squad under President Bush’s authority would go into countries, not talking to the ambassador or CIA station chief, and find people on a list and execute them, then leave. All of which is of course denied by those who were part of the Bush admin.
