Ron Paul was immediately winning the after debate poll set up on the front page of the FOX News website following the 2011 Iowa GOP debate.

As shown in the screenshot (right) taken shortly after the end of the republican debate the “Who won the Republican Presidential Debate” poll vote tally was as follows.

Ron Paul – 6251 votes
Newt Gingrich – 3978
Herman Cain – 2030
Mitt Romney – 1577
Michele Bachmann – 1567
Rick Santorum – 728
Jon Huntsman – 266
Tim Pawlenty – 214

After the poll was moved off the front page Ron Paul’s lead in the poll grew even more as shown in the screenshot below taken at 11:11 PM.

Even during the debate it was quite obvious Ron Paul’s answers to the debate questions impressed the viewers, while Mitt Romney and Michele Bachmann weren’t quite as well received as shown in the screen shots below of percentages of thumbs down (left in red) and thumbs up (right in yellow).

How is Michele Bachmann Doing? (60% Thumbs Down – 40% thumbs Up)

UPDATE AS OF 9:28 am PDT – August 12, 2011: Look at the sea of green across the map of The United States of America (below) indicating where the votes for Ron Paul came from. He has support from all over the U.S.A. His total votes above the 2nd place Newt Gingrich have gone from more than double to more than triple, with Bachmann and Romney well below Ron Paul just under Herman Cain.
