Denver, Colorado PBS: Colorado Public Television KBDI Channel 12 is repeating the broadcast of the powerful 9/11 documentary “9/11: Press for Truth” this weekend due to the huge positive response they got from the first broadcast of this 9/11 Truth documentary back in June.

KBDI will also be airing Aaron Russo’s documentary “America: Freedom to Fascism“.

It was a big big day at the KBDI Five Points Media center for 9/11 Truth.

Having developed a relationship with the Denver metro area local PBS broadcasting station for over the last 3 years by simply taking donation phones calls, in exchange for a few minutes to talk to the audience about the 9/11 cover up, Colorado Visibility 9/11 has succeeded in making history.

KBDI aired the groundbreaking documentary film 9/11 Press for Truth June 4, 2009 during prime time with well over an hours worth of interviews with film producers Kyle Hence and Ray Nowosielski, and also powerful testimony from Bob McIlvaine.

Station managers and VP were extremely pleased as to how well this documentary was received and should be commend for doing what no other station has done in the nation and air a controversial film exposing the cover up of the 9/11 tragedy by our government.

The station Press Release reflects the excitement and enthusiasm of the Colorado’s 9/11 Truth community hailing this a major step forward and encouraging other stations to air this incredible documentary film.

This is being touted as one of the most successful fund raising events in station history and proves that people are dying for real answers about that day.

Alaska Governor and John McCain’s Vice Presidential running mate Sarah Palin was asked by We Are Change Ohio at a recent Ohio rally if she supported a new 9/11 investigation and Palin said she does.

Sarah Palin was asked, “Will you support the victims’ family members and first responders of 9/11, that are calling for a new investigation?”

Palin responded, “I do.”

Palin continued by saying, “I do because I think that helps us get to the point of never again, and if anything that we could do could still complete that reminder out there.”

CORRECTION: The Video of Tom Morello speaking on false flag terror was recorded in Denver on August 27th, not in St. Paul as previously stated.

Tom Morello, guitarist with rock protest band Rage Against the Machine, spoke out against false flag terrorism in the week before an impromptu performance by the band was shut down by police outside the RNC.

Morello spoke briefly to Alex Jones just before appearing at an event being held by independent candidate Ralph Nader in Denver during the DNC.

“When the media speaks of terrorism it tends to be in the context of lone bandits from middle eastern countries when most of the terrorism that occurs in the world is government sponsored.” Morello told Change reporters.

“Whether it’s the Bush administration or the Putin administration, terror is not something that is unfamiliar to governments.”

“It is nothing new,” Morello continued, “From Gulf of Tonkin to the Maine, in the Spanish American war, it is something that is embedded, unfortunately, in the DNA of American politics.”

Fast forward to Tuesday evening and Rage announced they would make an unscheduled appearance and perform at the Ripple Effect Day Festival at the Capitol in St. Paul.

However, as soon as police got wind of the plans, state troopers were dispatched to the scene, the power was cut and the band were barred from the stage.

An official quoted in reports claimed that Rage were prohibited from performing because they were not included on the festival’s permit, however the Ripple Effect website insisted that permit “held no artist-specific provisions.”

As the crowd grew restless, Morello and frontman Zack de la Rocha took to a megaphone and led the protesters in a sing-a-long of some of their hits anyway:

Last night the band were allowed to play a pre-arranged show at the Target Center in St. Paul. After the concert ended at 10.30pm riot police had surrounded the building in waiting for protesters who emerged and took to the streets to march and chant.

Police reportedly used batons, pepper spray and fired bean bag rounds and tear gas to disperse the demonstrators, in scenes more akin to the streets of communist China. After whittling the crowd down to around 75, police surrounded them, ordered them to the ground and arrested them all.

“We are free citizens of America, and we are here because we love our country,” said a girl who was leading the crowd, who refused to give her name. 102 people in total were arrested.

The activity marked a second night of indiscriminate police crackdowns throughout the city on innocent protesters.

Hurricane Gustav may have cut short the opening day of the Republican National Convention, but it didn’t stop police from using excessive force on protesters and even the journalists reporting on the events surrounding the 2008 RNC.

Democracy Now host Amy Goodman was arrested for nothing but asking why her colleagues, Sharif Abdel Kouddous and Nicole Salazar were assualted and arrested by police.

Democracy Now Says,

“All three were violently manhandled by law enforcement officers. Abdel Kouddous was slammed against a wall and the ground, leaving his arms scraped and bloodied. He sustained other injuries to his chest and back. Salazar’s violent arrest by baton-wielding officers, during which she was slammed to the ground while yelling, “I’m Press! Press!,” resulted in her nose bleeding, as well as causing facial pain. Goodman’s arm was violently yanked by police as she was arrested.”

“During the demonstration in which the Democracy Now! team was arrested, law enforcement officers used pepper spray, rubber bullets, concussion grenades and excessive force against protesters and journalists. Several dozen demonstrators were also arrested during this action, including a photographer for the Associated Press.”

Amy Goodman, Sharif Abdel Kouddous and Nicole Salazar have since been released. Goodman was charged with obstruction and felony riot charges are pending against Kouddous and Salazar.

Democracy Now states:

“Democracy Now! forcefully rejects all of these charges as false and an attempt at intimidation of these journalists. We demand that the charges be immediately and completely dropped.”

“Democracy Now! stands by Goodman, Kouddous and Salazar and condemns this action by Twin Cities’ law enforcement as a clear violation of the freedom of the press and the First Amendment rights of these journalists.”

Police also fired tear gas at protesters:

This follows the weekend raids at the homes of protesters who were planning peaceful protests at the RNC.

Denver police used pre-printed forms to issue charges, misled arrestees

The ACLU has accused the Denver Police Department of violating the constitutional rights of protesters arrested in the vicinity of the Democratic National Convention by denying them access to lawyers, forcing them to plead guilty to inappropriate charges and placing some of them in leg shackles.

The charges are detailed in a letter (Click here for PDF) which at time of writing is yet to appear on the website of ACLU Colorado but has been obtained by alternative news website Raw Story.

The letter summarizes how basic facts of law and criminal justice were either ignored or turned on their head by the police in the absence of legal counsel for arrestees, itself a violation of the Constitution.

The ACLU alleges that police effectively forced some protesters into pleading guilty, by tricking them into believing they had to do so in order to post bond and gain access to a phone call.

In addition it is thought that some arrestees were led to believe that only they could post bond, rather than having a third party do it on their behalf.

“This meant that no one was allowed to make a phone call unless they plead guilty, thus making it impossible for arrestees to even call a lawyer until admitting guilt.” Raw Story writer John Byrne comments.

Furthermore, the letter charges that some of those in custody were told that pleading not guilty would result in a “double sentence” if convicted.

The ACLU also states that police used “pre-printed” charge forms and had to scrub out charges that did not apply to some protesters. According to the letter some were erroneously charged for offenses they did not commitsuch as “begging, loitering and throwing stones and missiles,” simply because cops failed to remove them from the forms. In addition the letter also states that extra charges were written in to some forms by hand, leading to duplications of charges. In one case an arrestee seemed to be facing six charges when in reality there were only two separate ordinance violations listed.

Not content with issuing false charges, police also mislead those arrested into thinking that any conviction stemming from the charges could lead to “years in jail”, according to the ACLU, when in reality no such penalties exist for municipal court violations.

The letter states that the only time arrestees got to consult lawyers was in front of the jury gallery or in open court in front of the judge, a blatant transgression of the most basic legal rights.

One section of the letter, written by Taylor Pendergrass, a staff attorney for the ACLU of Colorado, intimates that protesters were rounded up in mass arrests and were not given the opportunity to back off by police:

“It is not clear whether any order to disperse was given. No Legal Observer [sic], witness or arrestee on the scene we’ve debriefed heard any order to disperse… Numerous persons, including Legal Observers, asked to be able to leave the blockaded area and were refused.” the letter states.

“After the arrests, attorneys from the People’s Law Project and the ACLU arrived at the [Temporary Arrestee Processing Site to conduct confidential attorney-client consultations,” Pendergrass continues. “The City refused to provide any access to allow these persons to meet with attorneys.”

Pendergrass also charges that those who could not make bond spent up to eight hours at the holding facility before being taken to court. Many were not given any food and were refused blankets or extra clothing to keep warm. He also states that arrestees were flexi-cuffed to each other in painful positions and were not even allowed to go to the bathroom individually.

He also reveals that protesters were kept barefoot and in leg shackles:

“Arrestees were kept barefoot at TAPS. I personally saw one such arrestee later at the City and County Building. I saw her marched from the elevator to the courtroom in bare feet and leg shackles. I saw her appear in bare feet and leg shackles.”

Two weeks ago reporters discovered the huge city owned warehouse holding facility in Denver, consisting of steel cages topped with barbed wire, ready to receive thousands of protesters.

On seeing footage of the facility one local political organizer told the crew it resembled a “concentration camp”, while another described it as a “meat processing plant”. The facility has since been dubbed “Gitmo On The Platte”.

On Monday Alex Jones and the Infowars crew obtained exclusive footage outside the holding facility.

Last week a police bulletin was leaked which advised officers that potentially violent protesters may be identified from their use of hand held radios, bikes, maps and “camping information.” The ACLU called the bulletin “unnecessarily provocative” and warned, “It has the potential to get police officers all amped up and looking for a confrontation at a time when what we need is cool heads and restraint.”

The ACLU has demanded that arrestees be allowed access to attorneys and that all other discretions and violations listed in their letter be corrected by the city during the last two days of the convention.
