John McCain has taken an unusual step by suspending his campaign until the $700 billion bailout bill is worked out because he feels he needs to be in Washington to help with the bill. McCain also wants to postpone Friday’s Presidential debate with Barack Obama until the bailout package is completed.
Barack Obama on the other hand, believes that a President will have to deal with more than one issue at a time and won’t be able to suspend everything else. Obama wants the debate to go on as planned and he says the people need to hear from us (McCain and Obama).

What’s interesting to note about the McCain campaign wanting to postponed Friday’s debate is they want to push the McCain/Obama debate to next week in place of the Vice Presidential debate between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin. I know it’s only speculating, but considering how much they are trying to keep Sarah Palin under wraps, it doesn’t seem like a coincidence that they’d try and push the Biden/Palin debate back to try and keep Sarah Palin from media scrutiny for as long as they can.
