State/Territory column takes you to that state’s elections office or voter information site. Yellow indicates you need to register as a Republican or independent if you want to vote for Ron Paul in the primary. I have also highlighted, in red, states that have a looming deadline.
Every state is different and I can’t fit every detail about every state on a small page so visit your state’s website and contact them if you have questions. One important thing to all the young Ron Paul supporters out there, is that if you are a first time voter you may need to register in person, you can’t just mail in the form, contact your state for more information.
New York and New Hampshire have a party change deadline of October 12th!
- New York: If you’re registered as a Democrat, as any other political party, not registered with any political party, or a first time voter who wants to register with a political party, you must declare yourself a Republican by October 12th! Undeclared voters can not vote in the Republican primary, you must register as a Republican! Register with this PDF
- New Hampshire: If you’re registered as a Democrat you must register as a Republican or independent by October 12th! Independent voters can vote in any party primary however when they do so, they become registered members of that party, meaning if you were independent in 2004 but voted in the Democratic primary, you became a registered Democrat - you must re-register as a Republican or independent by October 12th! To register you have to visit your city/town clerk in person, no filling out a PDF, more information here
